  Dr. John L Peake changed my life. During my treatment and association with him he was compassionate yet direct. I watched other lives being changed before my eyes in group settings. His work with the state prison system's addiction and recovery programs is phenomenal. He built the structure of an intense recovery program focusing on addicts who were mentally ill and facilitated it himself, under a zero budget and against the grain of correctional staff, but overcame the odds. The success stories he is responsible for are countless, and the healing he provided for those inmates and their families are priceless.
